FSRU stands for Floating Storage & Regasification Unit. The FSRU for the Project shall be a new vessel built by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd (HHI) at its shipyard in Korea.

FSRU shall be designed with full compliance with statutory requirements of Classification society and Country Flag. FSRU shall be designed for continuous operations for a period of 20 yrs without any dry docking requirements. SLPL‘s project shall utilise a FSRU for receiving LNG from LNG carriers, regasification of the LNG and sending out the regasified LNG.
